Types of Patio Heaters

Taking just one look at our outdoor heaters selection will show you there are dozens of possibilities to choose from. Each heater has practical features that make it suitable for one kind of outdoor environment or another.

Patio heaters come in a variety of styles including free-standing models that are capable of warming an area ranging between five and 10 feet from the place where the heater is positioned. These varieties tend to be less expensive than other styles. They are mostly suitable for patio and backyard use.

Wall mounted patio heaters are placed above the patio and can direct heat to a specific area. These are usually heavy-duty heaters that can be used in restaurants and during large outdoor parties. Some of the units are adaptable, which means that they can be used both indoor and outdoor.

If you don’t have a wall for mounting purposes, you can opt for a pole-mounted heater. It comes with the characteristics of the traditional wall-mounted piece but the heater is pre-attached to a pole that can be positioned almost anywhere.

Finally, there are small tabletop heaters. This is the least expensive variety and is capable of heating a relatively small area. These will usually have to be secured to the table and individuals that want to feel the heat will have to be within several feet of the appliance.

On top of the variety of styles, there are also a number of fuel options for patio heaters. From electric heaters, to propane and natural gas heaters, you have plenty of options to find the perfect patio heater for your home. Luckily for you, the BBQ Depot has a large selection of appliances and the expertise to help you choose the right one for you.
