The Artisan and Sedona by Lynx are manufactured by the best USA outdoor grill manufacturers : Alfresco and Lynx.

The Alfresco Artisan ARTP-36 and the Sedona by Lynx L600R have the quality you have come to expect by their respective manufacturers and an affordable price. They are both made in the USA grills and share some similar features.

They both share a Stainless Steel center fed U shaped burner though the Sedona by Lynx puts out a bit more BTU than the Artisan (23,000 vs 20,000). Sedona by Lynx has a much better burner warranty than Artisan. (15 years vs Lifetime)

Both grills utilize a lock in place briquette tray that holds and radiates heat throughout the grilling surface. Artisan uses a lock bar while the Sedona uses clips. This enables you to "self clean" the briquettes by simply turning the trays upside down, turn the burners on high for a few minutes with the lid closed. I do not recommend this as I personally do not like the idea of grease dripping on the burner. Can cause clogging...

Sedona beats its competitor in the warranty. (Sedona- 5 Years; Artisan - 3 Years, excluding briquettes). When you do have to replace the trays, the Sedona Briquette Tray Assembly is over 60% cheaper than Artisan.

Both grills have one internal light.

Artisan uses a 110V electronic ignition with a separate push button while Sedona by Lynx uses an electronic powered ignition and has a battery back-up that you light by pressing in the knobs and turning them. This is great if you should lose power (like we do here in South Florida during Hurricane season). The electrically powered ignition systems have been proving to be a more reliable method to lighting the gas grill.

Both grills also require electricity to power the control panel lighting (LED) and interior lights.

Both grills use a stainless steel rod cooking grate. Sedona offers a lifetime warranty on their cooking grates while Artisan is 10 years.

The Sedona also has a slightly deeper grilling surface than the Artisan.

Aesthetically, Sedona by Lynx more closely resembles its parent (Lynx) than does Artisan. In our opinion, we are not crazy about the look of the Artisan control knobs.

A big pro is with the Artisan you can purchase a sear zone and interchange the U burner with the sear zone. You cannot with the Sedona. You would have to order the Sedona with the ProSear L600PSR and you cannot change back to a U Burner. Though the Prosear also has a lifetime warranty.

Why is it important to buy USA grill?

First off, you are supporting our economy.

Second, when building an outdoor kitchen, appliances should be the first consideration as you are essentially married to the cutout of the counter-top. Who wants the added expense of having to modify the grill island if you have to replace the grill. You want to buy the grill once. When you invest in the structure it can be very costly to retro fit a structure to a new cutout as the likelihood of finding an exact replacement is unlikely, unless it is the same Brand and model.

Third, accessibility to parts ... take our word for it! We see this everyday.

In our opinion, you get the best "bang for your buck" with the Sedona. The Sedona is $380 more but you get parts covered for Life!
