What is the purpose of the Mesh Screen?
The Alfresco mesh screen is your burner's first line of defense. It sits directly on top of the ceramic plate to:
- Prevent Damage: It catches food chunks and debris, preventing them from sitting directly on the ceramic and causing it to crack.
- Protect Your Investment: Replacing a damaged screen is inexpensive; replacing a cracked ceramic burner costs hundreds of dollars.
WARNING:
If your screen has holes or is "blown out," it should be replaced. An exposed ceramic plate is vulnerable to damage from grease and food.
