This configuration features two stainless 18-SR main burners and one dedicated ceramic infrared Sear Zone, delivering powerful performance with precise control.

Sear Zone™ Performance: True Steakhouse Heat
The Alfresco Sear Zone™ is a dedicated 27,500 BTU ceramic infrared burner capable of reaching temperatures up to 1,500°F in approximately four minutes.
- Why it matters: Traditional stainless burners cook primarily through convection (heated air). Infrared delivers direct radiant energy, allowing you to sear the exterior quickly while helping retain natural juices.
- Reduced flare-ups: The ceramic surface vaporizes drippings rapidly, producing flavorful smoke while minimizing grease flare-ups.
Signature Smoker System: Dedicated Flavor Control
Unlike basic smoker boxes that sit on the grates, the ALXE-42SZ features a dedicated 5,000 BTU burner paired with a heavy-duty stainless steel drawer.
- Independent operation: Introduce smoke without running the main burners — ideal for delicate items such as fish or cheese.

Safe-Touch™ Air-Cooled Control Panel
Alfresco’s Safe-Touch™ air-cooled control panel separates the firebox from the valve and ignition components using an insulated air gap.

Please Note: On Natural gas option, hose not included. On LP (Propane) option, a rubber hose/regulator is included. We suggest using stainless steel hoses on all built in grill hookups.
