Summerset Sizzler Infrared Sear Burner - IRB-SIZ
Summerset Sizzler Infrared Sear Burner — Upgrade Your Sizzler or Sizzler Pro
Part Number: IRB-SIZ | Works with LP and Natural Gas | Sold Individually
Quick Fit Check:
Fits all sizes in the Summerset Sizzler and Sizzler Pro series
Does not fit Summerset TRL, Alturi, or other Summerset series
Works with both LP (propane) and natural gas
Add true infrared searing capability to your existing Summerset Sizzler or Sizzler Pro grill — no special configuration required. The IRB-SIZ drops directly into any standard burner slot, upgrading one zone of your grill to reach temperatures up to 1,600°F.
What infrared searing actually does: A standard tube burner heats the air around your food. An infrared burner heats a ceramic tile that radiates intense, direct heat — producing a fast, deep sear that helps create the kind of crust you normally only get from a commercial steakhouse kitchen. It’s a different cooking experience entirely, and this burner adds it to a grill you already own.

How the Upgrade Works
The IRB-SIZ is designed to replace one standard burner in your Sizzler or Sizzler Pro. Because it fits the same burner slot, there’s no drilling, no adapter hardware, and no permanent modification to your grill.
- Choose which burner position you want to convert to infrared — most customers use an end zone
- Remove the existing tube burner (Sizzler) or cast stainless burner (Sizzler Pro) from that slot
- Remove the briquette tray from that zone — the infrared burner radiates heat directly and does not use briquettes
- Install the IRB-SIZ in its place using your existing valve and connections
- The remaining burner slots continue to operate as standard burners with their briquette trays in place
If you have any questions about the install, contact us before you order — our technicians can walk you through it.
BBQ Depot Tech Tip: When converting one burner position to infrared, always remove the briquette tray from that zone. Infrared burners radiate heat directly and should not be covered by briquettes or a standard radiant system.
