DCS 36-inch and 48-inch grills have long used their distinctive finger-style cooking grates. These grates feature raised channels that provide excellent heat retention and even cooking performance.

Earlier DCS finger grates were manufactured from porcelain-coated cast iron. Current OEM replacements are made from cast stainless steel, offering improved durability while maintaining the same finger-style cooking surface. The original porcelain cast iron grates have been discontinued.
