I have had my MHP grill for at least fifteen years and rebuilt it several times, but never replaced the electronic igniter, just used a flame lighter through the side port. So, the old igniter was fused to the bottom of the grill. It took a bit of blunt force to remove and had to dress up the opening before installing the new igniter and box. Also, the new spade connectors had to be worked a bit before plugging in. Grill works perfect now though!
