By adding a TEC G-Sport Smoker/Roaster to grill, it becomes an infrared smoking machine. This 2-piece accessory is made of 304 stainless steel and includes a slotted rack and a 12-gauge radiant drip tray. Simply place the radiant drip tray beneath the meat rack and directly on top of the cooking grates. The radiant drip tray slows down the cooking process while collecting the drippings for an authentic slow and low smoking experience.

For added flavor add Wood chips on top of the grill grates.

I can slow roast on my grill now without burning

This works, but there are several caveats:
1) Difficult to clean because it is too large to fit in my sink. Recommend covering bottom pan with foil to help in cleaning.
2) Does not get hot enough with GSport on low. Used oven thermometer to dial up the heat until 300 degrees was reached at about medium gas. Will always monitor with oven thermometer from now on.
3) Covers so much of grill that it is difficult to refresh wood chips after first batch stops smoking. Don't really want to lift entire pan out and redo chips then replace ever 30-40 minutes.
