Solaire Convection Conversion Kit.

This kit can but used to replace existing U-burner or to replace Solaire Infrared Burner. - If replacing Infrared burner, need to re-position igniter electrode (loosen screw, move electrode in slot to height of burner, re-tighten screw.

Includes : Stainless Steel U-Burner and Vaporizer. InfraVection is a concept for the griller who wants to experience infrared grilling while keeping the [comfort zone] of a traditional convection burner. It's also great for the sophisticated outdoor chef who wants the widest range of temperature options for the ultimate in grilling versatility.

The Solaire design allows for easy conversion from one burner type to another. All-Infrared Solaire grills are converted to InfraVection with the purchase and installation of the Convection Conversion Kit available for all sizes (except Solaire Anywhere).

Used for old Tec Sterling ll coversion

These burners were just what I needed. I have a 23 year old Tec Sterling ll infrared bbq. These things just are too hot with old style ceramic burners. 700 plus degrees on low. I wanted to get down to 225- 550 degrees. So bought these burners and with a few slight modifications installed then with the fame tamers and electronic ignition. What a difference. I can cook low and slow or direct on high heat. Solaire told me couldn’t be done. Liability issues and such. Which I understand. But They were wrong. It can be done safely. I wouldn’t recommend doing unless you have good mechanical knowledge and understanding of gas plumbing. If there was demand I’d make a kit but not many of these old bbq’s around anymore. Just couldn’t see spending $2000 or more for new bbq. These old ones are built like tanks.
If you have a Solaire bbq these just drop in minutes and give you good adjustable heat. Just verify your model number before ordering. I highly recommend them.
Price is a good value. Quality burner and flame tamer. Bbq Depot has great customer service and fast shipping. Very pleased!
