Shutter closed my problem

I have the bronze burners and although they have lasted more than 15 years, I just noticed the shutters were gone! These were perfect replacements and pretty easy to install. The only issue was the old screws were badly corroded. As another reviewer said you can try drilling them out which I don't recommend cuz bronze is so soft. I chose the second option to drill and tap new holes for the new screws. I used a 10-32 tap and it was a little loose. 10-24 was definitely not the right one as another review indicated. If I did it again I would use a slightly smaller tap drill bit than what is typically called for.
Also the other reviewer said that 2 sets are included, which is not true. The price is for one shutter and one screw, so buy two if you need them both. Overall happy to find these. -

These fit my Lynx burners exactly as the originals. They come two shutters and two screws. If your old shutters are rusted out as mine were the original screws will not come out. You could drill out the old and re-tap or simply drill and tap in a new location. I did one technique on one burner and the second on the other burner. To drill out the old screw is a bit tricky and, for both techniques, keeping perpendicular to the surface requires a drip press or drill guide. Tap set is a 10-24.

The new shutters are as good or better than the original. This is the only part I have had to replace on this Lynx grill in 12 years.
