Lynx Grill Replacement Parts

The BBQ Depot stocks genuine OEM and aftermarket replacement parts for every Lynx grill series, from the original Premier LBQ models through today's Professional Trident grills. Lynx kept the same model numbers (L27, L30, L36, L42, L54) for more than two decades while changing the ignition system, sear burner and briquette trays underneath, so the correct part depends on your series letter, which is the third character of your serial number. We have matched Lynx parts by model and serial number since the late 90's.

How Do I Identify the Correct Lynx Replacement Part?

To ensure the correct fit, you'll need both your model number and serial number. Many Lynx grills share the same model number but use different burners, ignition systems, valves, and briquette trays depending on the production series.

  • Model Number: Identifies the grill size (L27, L30, L36, L42, L54).
  • Serial Number: Identifies the production series and internal components.
  • Serial number verification: Some burners, ignition parts, valves, and other components vary by production series even when the model number is the same.

Identify Your Lynx Series for Exact Fit

Lynx model numbers (such as L27, L30, L36, or L42) have remained consistent for decades, but internal designs changed across multiple series. Your serial number is the key to 100% accuracy.

Pro Tip: Most Lynx serial tags are located behind the control panel or under the drip tray.

Lynx Grill Parts FAQ

Where can I buy Lynx grill replacement parts?

The BBQ Depot stocks genuine OEM and aftermarket Lynx parts for Premier and Professional grills, including burners, ignition parts, briquette trays, cooking grates, valves, knobs and more. We are an authorized Lynx warranty and service agent, and a technician verifies fit by model and serial number before you order. Call 877-983-0451.

How do I find my Lynx grill series?

Your series is the third character of the serial number. The serial number is on the back page of the owner's manual, on the inspection sheet, under the drip tray in the center front, and behind the control panel.

Can I identify my Lynx part using the model number alone?

Depends on the part you are replacing. Core parts such as ignition systems, valves and ProSear burners changed as Lynx updated internal designs. Using the serial number is the only reliable way to ensure correct fit.

Are parts still available for older Lynx grills?

Yes. Many replacement parts are still available, even for the original Premier LBQ grills. The main exception is the glow coil ignition used in series J and K (2007 to 2009), which has been discontinued and is replaced with a hot surface ignition upgrade kit.

What igniter does a Lynx J or K series grill need?

Series J and K grills used glow coil electrodes that are no longer made. Most repairs need a complete hot surface ignition upgrade kit and not a single replacement electrode. Lynx kit 90172 is for 30" grills and kit 90173 is for 36" grills. Select 42" grills use kit 90174.

Which hot surface igniter does my Lynx grill use, 33051 or 33556?

The two electrodes differ in where the tab connects to the grill: on 33051 the connection sits about 1 inch above the bottom of the stem, and on 33556 it is at the bottom of the stem. L and M series grills use 33051 on all standard burners. N, P, Q and U series grills typically use 33051 in the far-left burner position and 33556 on burners to the right. Grills with model numbers ending in 01 use 33051 on all ceramic Blue Flame burners and 33556 only on Trident burners.

Can I upgrade Lynx brass burners to ceramic burners?

Yes. Many Lynx Professional series grills allow upgrades from legacy cast brass burners to modern blue flame ceramic burners. These are not interchangeable with ProSear or Trident infrared burners.

Can I switch a Blue Flame burner to a Trident infrared burner?

No. The mounting brackets in the firebox and the igniter alignment are specific to the burner type. Unless your grill was factory-configured for a Trident or ProSear burner in that bay, the firebox will not support the swap.

When should a Lynx briquette tray be replaced?

If briquettes are cracked or missing, or the tray is warped or rusted, heat distribution will suffer. Replacing the tray restores even radiant heat and reduces flare-ups.

How should I clean a Lynx ProSear burner?

Use light vacuum removal only. Never brush the ceramic surface.
